The Tennessee Sports Hall of Fame Collegiate Sports Experience was created to assist the colleges and universities of the state become actively involved in our rich sports heritage and support those entities by promoting the activities within their athletic programs.

Tennessee Sports Hall of Fame Jeff Byrd Memorial Scholarship

The Tennessee Sports Hall of Fame Jeff Byrd Memorial Scholarship is awarded to a college junior or senior who is a resident of the state of Tennessee and displays a high level of character, leadership, and integrity in sports, classroom, and community involvement.   The scholarship will be awarded to a student that wishes to follow in Jeff Byrd’s footsteps with an interest in sports journalism, sports management or a related sports field.

Internship Program

We accept applications from internships for fall, spring, and summer semesters. Each semester, we welcome interns from Nashville and all over the country. When possible, we encourage interns to tailor their experiences to their own interests and educational goals. The institutions where interns have participated  from include:

Belmont University, Harding University, Missouri State University, Southern Illinois University, Tennessee State University, Vanderbilt University,  Virginia Tech University  and Western Kentucky University
