The NFL's passing leader and Co-MVP in 2003, Steve McNair was selected to start in the Pro Bowl after one of the best performances by a quarterback in team history. He completed 250 of 400 pass attempts for 3,215 yards. He also scored 24 touchdowns and allowed only seven interceptions. McNair's passer rating of 100.4 was the best in the league and also the best in franchise history.

With a league-high 8.04 yards per pass attempt, he became the first AFC quarterback since Jim Harbaugh in 1995 to finish the season averaging more than eight yards per attempt.

With rushing totals of 38 carries for 138 yards and four touchdowns, he was one of only two NFL quarterbacks to produce at least one touchdown in every game he played this season. Following the season, McNair was named second-team All-Pro.
