Bill Dance, born in Lynchburg, Tennessee, and now making his home in Collierville, is the legendary bass angler who turned pro in 1970.

Bill Dance has fished the rivers, lakes, streams, and oceans of our world. His awards and titles are legendary:

  • 23 National Bass Titles
  • Three time Angler of the Year
  • Winner of The Congressional National Safety Award, joining fellow recipients Lloyd Bridges and Jacque Cousteau
  • National Freshwater Hall of Fame
  • Professional Bass Fishing Hall of Fame
  • International Fishing Hall of Fame
  • U. S. Army Corps of Engineers Commander's Achievement Award for Water Safety
  • Spokesman for the United States Coast Guard
  • One of "The 50 Most Influential People in the Sport of Fishing" by Field and Stream
In 2005, Dance was named third in "The Greatest Angler of All Time" contest on ESPN.
