2008 Male Professional Athlete of the Year

Peyton Manning

In the 2006-2007 NFL season, Peyton Manning started 16 games for the ninth consecutive season and earned his seventh career Pro Bowl selection.

After that season, Manning had completed more passes and thrown for more yards and touchdowns, with a higher passer rating, in a career-opening nine-year span than any NFL player.

In 2007, he led his team to Super Bowl XLI where the Colts defeated the Chicago Bears 29-17. Manning earned Super Bowl XLI MVP Honors.

He is the only NFL player ever to be named NFL MVP, Super Bowl MVP and Pro Bowl MVP during a career.
