Albert Haynesworth

In 2008 the massive and athletic Albert Haynesworth who anchors the interior of the Titans defense was named the AFC starter for his second Pro bowl. The 6-foot-6, 320 pound defensive tackle finished seventh in the AFC and led the team with a career-high 8.5 sacks. He led all AFC defensive tackles with a career-high six sacks, tied his career mark with 23 quarterback pressures and produced the second-best tackle total of his career (69). Haynesworth led or tied for the team lead in sacks six times in 2008 and tied for the team lead in tackles once and passes defensed once. In Haynesworth's six seasons in the NFL, he has totaled 379 tackles, 15.5 sacks, 98 quarterback pressures, 40 tackles for loss, 11 passes defensed, three forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries in 76 games (60 starts). His effect on both the running and passing defense was never more apparent than in Tennessee ranking fifth overall, fifth against the run and 10th against the pass.

Also very active off the gridiron, Haynesworth has hosted the "Dining for Dimes" celebrity dinner and auction as well as autograph sessions benefiting the March of Dimes, participated in the YMCA Community Action Project (Y-Cap) in Middle Tennessee supporting at-risk youth, and began hosting his own weekly radio show in 2004, "The Night Al Show" every Tuesday evening during the season on Nashville's 560 WNSR.

 
Drafted by the Titans in the first round of the 2002 NFL Draft from the University of Tennessee where he was a three-year letterman who compiled 66 tackles, five sacks, 31 quarterback pressures, 20 stops behind line of scrimmage and nine pass deflections during his career.
