Kenny Chesney’s documentary, Boys of Fall, pays tribute and examines the lasting positive effects that playing high-school football can have on players, and offers inspiration to thousands of young people. Chesney donated 10,000 DVD copies of Boys of Fall to high schools and coaches of high school football teams across the country. In the documentary, Chesney talks to football icons including Pro Football Hall of Famer Joe Namath and Tennessee Sports Hall of Fame Honoree and All NFL Indianapolis Colts quarterback Peyton Manning. The documentary also offers insight into how playing sports, football particularly, in high-school affected hundreds of young people who did not go on to play professionally, like Chesney himself. “Kenny played high school football, and he feels the lessons he learned on the field like hard work, humility and trust are carried over into everyday life,” Chesney’s manager Clint Higham said. “He wants to help inspire future generations with the same passion he feels.”
