Biography

Tim Jackson’s 30 year golf career is defined by global greens, national records, hometown loyalty and old fashioned fun. His career is highlighted by top prizes at the 1994 and 2001 U.S. Mid-Amateur, representing the U.S. as a member of the 1995 and 1999 U.S. Walker Cup Teams, and participating in the 1995 and 2002 Masters. He also won the North and South Amateur in 1998 and the 1995 Simon Bolivar World Cup in Caracas, Venezuela. Tim captured 13 Tennessee State Championships, won the Tennessee State Amateur in 1994, 1998, 2001, and 2005 and Tennessee State Mid-Amateur in 1989, 1994, 1995, 2001, 2005, and 2010. Tim won the 2002 Tennessee State Open, the 2005 Tennessee State Match Play, and 2011 Tennessee Senior State Open. He also holds 7 City of Memphis Championships and was named Tennessee Player of the Year 9 times. Tim has been inducted into 4 Halls of Fame, is the immediate past president of the Tennessee Golf Association and current board member of the Tennessee Golf Foundation.

Tim’s career is one for the record books:
• The only player in Tennessee history to win the state amateur, state open, state mid-amateur, and state match play.
• The only player in history to play on multiple U.S. Walker Cup Teams (1995 and 1999).
• The only player to win both the state open and state senior open.
• The oldest player in United States Golf Association history to win medalist honors at the 2009 U.S Amateur at Southern Hills at the age of 50.
• Finally, Tim holds the record for the highest number of low amateur awards as well as most of the scoring records at the U.S Senior Open (2009, 2010, and 2011).

A native of Memphis, Tennessee, Tim earned an accounting degree from the University of Tennessee at Martin and CPA designation from the state of Tennessee. Tim has leveraged his entrepreneurial spirit as a general partner in over 30 real estate partnerships focused on multi-family, office, hotels, agriculture, and retail. Tim was also President of Spartan Food Service and most recently, Carwash USA Express.

Tim’s most notable accomplishment is reflected in his family. Tim has been married to Karen for 31 years and they have two sons, Ben (26) and Austin (17).
