A former standout for the University of Tennessee Lady Vols, Kara Lawson is now a point guard in the WNBA. Lawson is in her third year with the Sacramento Monarchs and helped them win the 2005 WNBA Championship. In addition to her on-court duties, Lawson is a member of the Maloof Sports & Entertainment broadcasting team and is the studio analyst for Kings House Party Live – pre, half and post game shows. She was an ESPN game analyst during the 2004 and 2005 Women’s NCAA Basketball Championship and also an analyst for various regular season games. Lawson was also the sideline reporter for the 2005 WNBA Draft, was studio analyst for the 2005 WNBA Draft Lottery and she was co-emcee of the 2005 NCAA Women of the Year Banquet. Lawson, three-time Final Four participant, will expand her growing role at ESPN as a studio analyst for the 2006 NCAA Women’s Basketball Championship.
