In his rookie season, Luke List, a sophomore at Vanderbilt University, set two school golf records. With a 9-under par 63, he broke the Vanderbilt records for most shots under par in a single round and lowest single round score. During his freshman season, he totaled eight rounds in the 60’s and posted the top scoring average on Vanderbilt’s squad with a 72.03 over 38 rounds of play. List posted nine top-10 finishes in Vanderbilt’s 13 events in 2003-04. He was selected as a 2004 Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) Freshman All-America and was chosen to the All-SEC first team. List was runner-up at the 104th U.S. Amateur Championship. Because of his outstanding year, List has been selected to play in the Masters Tournament. He was named a preseason First Team All-America by Golfweek Magazine and was tabbed as the nation’s fifth-ranked golfer heading into the 2004-05 season. List has been chosen #5 on Golf World Magazine’s 2004-05 “Top 50 Male Players to Watch” list.
