Davis “Sandy” Sandlin served as the athletic trainer for the University of Chattanooga (University of Tennessee at Chattanooga) for nearly forty years. During the summers, Sandlin worked with Joe Engel’s Chattanooga Lookouts Baseball team as a trainer and traveling secretary.
In 1976, Sandlin retired from UTC. From 1976 until 1979, Sandlin served as the first athletic trainer at Baylor School.
