Biography

A native of Townsville, Australia, this outstanding young tennis player blasted onto the collegiate tennis scene at the University of Tennessee, with a team-high 33 singles wins. In 2010, he received no less than 15 awards, which included the ITA All-America, NCAA Doubles Finalist, ITA Valley Region Arthur Ashe Award for Leadership and Scholarship, SEC Player of the Year and First Team All-SEC, among others. He advanced to the NCAA championship match by winning five straight matches over ranked opponents. John-Patrick was twice named SEC Freshman of the Week. In the National Preseason Singles ranking, he is currently the No. 1 ranked player in Division I men’s tennis. JP’s coach is Sam Winterbotham.
