The Mocs are once again ranked among the elite FCS programs for the upcoming 2017 season. Chattanooga has been given preseason rankings of #11 in Lindy’s FCS Top 25, #13 by SouthernPigskin.com, #15 by Athlon Sports, and #18 by Street & Smith.
Chattanooga finished last season with a record of 9-4, reaching the FCS playoffs and earning a final ranking of #10 in the nation. The 2017 team will maintain plenty of familiar faces, with 48 lettermen and 11 starters remaining from last year’s team.
UTC’s new season begins on August 26 with a matchup with the Jacksonville State Gamecocks in Montgomery, Alabama.
