Deon Grant is a celebrated safety whose career is marked by championship success and leadership.
Born in Augusta, Georgia, Grant starred at the University of Tennessee, helping lead the Volunteers to the 1998 National Championship. A consensus First-Team All-American, Grant’s ball-hawking instincts made him one of college football’s most feared defensive backs.
He was selected in the second round of the 2000 NFL Draft and enjoyed a 12-year NFL career with the Panthers, Jaguars, Seahawks, and Giants.
He capped his pro career by winning a Super Bowl with the New York Giants in 2012.
Known for his football IQ, toughness, and clutch playmaking, Grant was respected by teammates and opponents alike. Off the field, he has worked to support youth sports initiatives and share his experience with the next generation of athletes.
His induction into the Tennessee Sports Hall of Fame honors both his on-field excellence and his ongoing contributions to the game.
