In 2008, the massive and athletic Albert Haynesworth, who anchors the interior of the Titans defense, was named the AFC starter for his second Pro bowl. The 6-foot-6, 320 pound defensive tackle finished seventh in the AFC and led the team with a career-high 8.5 sacks. He led all AFC defensive tackles with a career-high six sacks, tied his career mark with 23 quarterback pressures and produced the second-best tackle total of his career (69). Haynesworth led or tied for the team lead in sacks six times in 2008, and tied for the team lead in tackles once and passes defensed once. In Haynesworth’s six seasons in the NFL, he has totaled 379 tackles, 15.5 sacks, 98 quarterback pressures, 40 tackles for loss, 11 passes defensed, three forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries in 76 games (60 starts). His effect on both the running and passing defense was never more apparent than in Tennessee’s ranking fifth overall, fifth against the run and 10th against the pass.
