Biography

In mid 2006, the Walters State Senators returned to their campus in Morristown as the JUCO World Series National Champions. The Senators finished the season with a 61-8 record and was the first team to win a baseball National Championship in the history of Tennessee Junior Colleges. The Senators have participated in the Junior College World Series in Grand Junction, Colorado three of the last four seasons. Last month, Coach Ken Campbell was honored as the 2006 NJCCAA Division I National Coach of the Year. In his seven season at Walters State, Coach Campbell has amassed an overall record of 334-79, for a .809 winning percentage. Several of his players have earned scholarships at four-year colleges and universities while some have been selected in the MLB draft.
