NASHVILLE—The weekend of May 16 and 17 is a weekend of celebrating for the Tennessee Sports Hall of Fame. Leading up to its annual Induction Ceremony & Awards banquet, the Hall of Fame will host the Reunion of Champions at Adams and Reese Law Firm on Friday, May 16th – which will be attended by past inductees as well as the 2014 class of inductees.
On the morning of May 17th, The Tennessee Sports Hall of Fame will present the Champion Within Luncheon at the Renaissance Hotel Nashville. Doors will open at 11am and lunch will be served at 11:30am.
The Champion Within Program gives the Tennessee Sports Hall of Fame an opportunity to celebrate the success of outstanding individuals that have excelled in their chosen sport. These individuals being recognized here today have performed at the highest level. They represent the qualities that we at the Tennessee Sports Hall of Fame believe is the true prize gained in competition, the belief that allows you to overcome any and all obstacles to become successful in life
Mike Flynt, Author of “The Senior”, my amazing year as a 59 year-old College Football Linebacker – is scheduled to appear as the keynote speaker. The luncheon will honor Bethel University Women’s Basketball Team led by Katie VanDyke and Tayla Foster, Richard Witherspoon, Joshua Pitman, Coach John Farr, Bill Neeley and Coach Doug Dickey. Helping to honor these outstanding individuals will be Hope Hines, Eddie George, Bridgette Gordon, Paul Naumoff, Allie Prescott, Coach Carlton Flatt and Claude Osteen who are all members of the 2014 class being inducted that evening at the Hall of Fame’s signature event.
