Biography

Winning three consecutive tournaments and his first collegiate tournament championship, Brandt Snedeker played the best season of golf in Vanderbilt University history. He is the first Commodore to be named a First-Team All American. At one point he was ranked No. 1 in the nation. His many other honors included Southeast All-Region, SEC Male Golfer of the Year, All-SEC and first place at the Tennessee Tournament of Champions. As an Amateur, Snedeker won the 2003 U.S. Public Links Championship, qualified for the 2003 U.S. Amateur Championship, participated in both the 2003 Porter Cup and Palmer Cup and was named “Amateur of the Year” by the Tennessee Golf Association. In 2007, he finished his inaugural PGA season with one victory and six top 10 finishes. He won the Wyndham Championship in August making him exempt on the PGA Tour through the 2009 season. Snedeker was selected the “PGA Tour Rookie of the Year” by his peers. Snedeker’s fabulous year included making the cut in 23 of the 29 events he entered this season. Snedeker also played in all the FedEx Cup Playoff events including the Tour Championship. At the end of the season, Snedeker totaled $2,836,643 placing him 17th on the money list; he is currently 52nd in the Official World Golf Rankings. His money total is the third-highest rookie total in PGA TOUR history.
