NASHVILLE, Tenn. — David Blackburn, Vice Chancellor and Director of Athletics at The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga has been appointed by Speaker Beth Harwell to serve on the board of the Tennessee Sports Hall of Fame. Blackburn becomes the first University of Tennessee at Chattanooga administrator appointed to the board. David will join Tom Bowen from The University of Memphis, Chris Massaro from Middle Tennessee State University, David Williams from Vanderbilt University and Joan Cronan from The University of Tennessee, Knoxville as athletic directors serving on the board.
Blackburn became Vice Chancellor at The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga on April 20, 2013 and has made an immediate impact from hiring Jim Foster and Will Wade to head up the basketball programs. David served The University of Tennessee, Knoxville for over twenty years prior to accepting his current position in Chattanooga.
