Tennessee Sports Hall of Fame, Sponsored by the Tennessee Lottery, Announced Re-Election of Phillip Fulmer and Harold Graeter to Board Leadership

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Aug. 11, 2021 – Phillip Fulmer, former American football player, coach and athletic director at the University of Tennessee, and Harold Graeter, Associate Executive Director at the AutoZone Liberty Bowl have been re-elected to the Tennessee Sports Hall of Fame Board as Chair and Vice Chair, respectively. In a board of directors meeting last Thursday, Aug. 5, the two were selected to serve a second term each through June 2023.

Fulmer, who was re-elected as Board Chair, spent 16 seasons as head coach of the Tennessee Vols and has a long list of accomplishments that place him in the top ranks of his profession. A Winchester-native, he represents the East Tennessee region. Graeter, the associate executive director of the AutoZone Liberty Bowl and a valuable board member since 2009, was re-elected as the Vice Chair of the Board. Graeter grew up in Memphis and represents the West Tennessee region.

“I am excited about the progress we have made at the Tennessee Sports Hall of Fame, and grateful for the efforts of the leadership of Executive Director Brad Willis, our very active all volunteer board, and tourism Commissioner Mark Ezell,” Phillip Fulmer said. “We have honored and told the story of many outstanding athletes, distinguished community minded men and women from all over the great state of Tennessee. I am pleased to serve as the chair again, and know we are doing important work for our state, our universities, and individuals who have distinguished themselves thru many sports.”

Recently, the Tennessee Sports Hall of Fame announced a partnership with the Tennessee Education Lottery Corporation, which will see the Hall rebranded as the Tennessee Sports Hall of Fame, sponsored by the Tennessee Lottery.

The Tennessee Sports Hall of Fame, sponsored by the Tennessee Lottery, is open Tuesday-Sunday from 10am-4pm and is located inside Bridgestone Arena in downtown Nashville. Attendees can enter through the Visit Music City Visitor Center, at the corner of Rep. John Lewis Way and Broadway.
