On Monday, the former Polk County High School standout was named to the prestigious Women’s Basketball Coaches Association 10-member NCAA Division II All-American team.
She is the only player representing the Gulf South Conference on the 10-member WBCA squad. Three other GSC standouts, Chelsey Rhodes and Seneca Walker of Delta State and junior Jordan Smith of Alabama-Huntsville, were listed as honorable mentions.
German’s list of accomplishments includes:
— Helped direct the Lady Flames to a 114-20 record over four years
— Helped the Lady Flames post a 54-2 record in Walker Arena
— All-time leading scorer in school history (2,300 career points)
— Fifth in total assists (408)
— 2013-14 WBCA NCAA Division II All-American
— 2013-14 Capital One Academic All-American
— 2013-14 WBCA NAIA All-American
— 2012-13 WBCA NAIA All-American

Lauren Battista (Bentley University), Jada Blackwell (Cal State Poly-Pomona) and Sharaya Selsor (Colorado Mesa University) are in the running for the NCAA Division II Player of the Year.
The 10-member team was selected by a vote of the selection committee. The committee is composed of one representative from each of the eight geographical regions and a chairperson.
