NASHVILLE, TN – May 27, 2021 – The Tennessee Sports Hall of Fame, in partnership with the Nashville Sports Council, will offer free admission to visitors from June 1 – Sept. 30. Visitors can view new memorabilia from the Class of 2020 and other Hall of Fame members including Tim Corbin, Jeff Fisher, Bettye Giles and Carl Torbush, with new items being added regularly.
“As the summer season arrives, and visitors from across the country descend on Nashville, we’re excited to offer the opportunity to tour the Tennessee Sports Hall of Fame free of charge,” said Brad Willis, Executive Director of the Tennessee Sports Hall of Fame. “We appreciate the Nashville Sports Council for stepping up to offer free admission over the summer, so visitors can learn about our great class of 2021, and find out more about the heritage of sports in our state.”
“The Tennessee Sports Hall of Fame allows visitors to learn about those who’ve played a role in growth of sports in our state,” said Scott Ramsey, President & CEO of the Nashville Sports Council. “We are happy to allow free admission for the next four months to allow the community to learn more about its sports history.”
The Tennessee Sports Hall of Fame is open Tuesday-Sunday from 10 a.m.- 4 p.m. and is located inside Bridgestone Arena in downtown Nashville. Attendees can enter through the Visit Music City Visitor Center, located at the corner of 5th Avenue and Broadway.
The Hall recently announced the honorees for its Achievements Awards, with Derrick Henry topping the list as the Tennessee Sports Hall of Fame 2021 Tennessean of the Year. Other top awardees include Belmont Women’s Basketball, Alysha Clark, Joan Cronan, Anastasia Hayes, Memphis Men’s Basketball, Ja Morant, Jerry Robertson, Tennessee Titans, the Nashville Six and Brady White.
