The Tennessee Sports Hall of Fame Nomination Committee and Board of Directors has approved a new award for the Tennessee Sports Hall of Fame that will be awarded beginning with the Class of 2024. The Legacy Award is a team award that recognizes sustained success over a period of three or more consecutive years.
Designed as primarily a high school award, the Legacy Award will focus on programs with a minimum of 3 years of sustained success. The Legacy Award aims to spotlight teams from 20 or more years ago.
The Tennessee Sports Hall of Fame Legacy Award seeks to honor programs who achieved national recognition over a sustained period of time, with emphasis placed on championships.
